Whether you are new to online machinery auctions or just new to MMI-Auction.com, it’s nice to know how the process works. We’ve created an illustrated outline of the below. Still have questions? Contact us at info@mmi-auction.com or use this link.

Register with MMI-Auction.com

  1. The first step to participate in machinery auctions is to create an account with MMI-auction.com. Click here to go to the registration page. If you have any questions or issues with registering, you can use the Live Chat function on the website or call us at 1 (312) 226-4150.

  2. You will receive a confirmation email with a verification code. Click the link in the email and enter your code online.

  3. Log in to MMI-auction.com with the username and password you entered on the registration form.  Now you can ask questions about the machines, place bids, make offers and receive updates about the machinery.

MMI values your privacy and security. We will never sell your information. We do not accept personal billing or financial information through our website, so we will not ask you to enter your credit card online. Intead, we send an invoice if you win an auction.

Place a Bid

    1. Find the machine you want to bid on. You can search for machines by clicking on one of the machine categories on the left side of your screen. Additionally, you can click on an auction banner at the top of the screen, then scroll through the list of machines to view all machines available for a particular auction. Please note that you must sign in to place a bid.

    2. Click on a specific machine, which will take you to the listing page for that particular machine. On the listing page, click "Place My Bid Now!” on the left side of the screen.

    3. Placing a bid will allow you to participate in the online auction, where you can select your maximum bid amount and receive alerts about any items you are bidding on. Your bid must meet the minimum bid displayed on the screen (article continues below image).

  1. MMI will bid incrementally for you up to your maximum bid. Your maximum bid is not visible to other users.

  2. Once you enter a bid, you are taken to a "Confirm Your Bid" page. You have the option to accept or cancel your bid. If you click “accept” you also will receive an email confirmation of your bid.

  3. By clicking “accept,” you agree to purchase the item if you are the winning bidder. If you need to retract or cancel a bid, contact MMI directly at 312-226-4150.

Billing and Payment

  1. If you are the winning bidder, you will receive an email as soon as the auction ends.

  2. Next, MMI will send you an invoice for the machine.

  3. Full payment is required within 5 business days of the auction end date.

  4. Wire transfer is the preferred payment method, but you can contact us at 312-226-4150 if you need to discuss alternative payment options.

  5. MMI offers flexible financing options.  Please visit this link to find out what financing options are available to your business.

Shipping and Logistics

  1. MMI has a full-service logistics department that can coordinate all rigging, freight, and paperwork associated with each sale.

  2. Once payment is received, MMI will contact you to set up transport of your machine to the facility or port you specify.

  3. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and rigging costs. Costs vary depending on factors like the size of the machine, the original location, and the destination.  For an estimate, please contact us directly at 312-226-4150 and ask for our logistics department.

  4. You can request that MMI use specific freight and rigging companies, or MMI can select one for your machine at the best negotiated rate, based on our high volume of freight services.

  5. Shipping times may vary, depending on variables such as starting location and destination, machine dimensions and transport scheduling.

  6. MMI can arrange international shipping to most parts of the world. Please contact our logistics department for more details or questions about shipping to a specific location.
