Ingersoll Rand introduced its first pneumatic device in the late 19th century. Since then, they've set some of the industry's standards for air compression technology around the world. The first Ingersoll Rand oil-free compressor came in 1912, followed by centrifugal-powered compressors. Today's compressors include computer-controlled and remote-access devices, precision delivery, rotary screws and sliding vanes.
